This has huge potential to bring down the cost and provide other benefits such as lighter weight displays.
I’m dubious of the benefit of something like a convex display though. Perhaps this is meant more to show what’s possible.
Regardless, something to watch and there may be some actual products announced using this tech at CES in January.
