How about some juicy discussion on the Microsoft mega leak in their ongoing litigation with the FTC, and all courtesy of Microsoft mistakenly uploading an unredacted document (marked as redacted, doh!) that exposes their upper-level internal discussions.

Can you give a synopsis for those of us (me) who doesn’t have a PDF reader installed right now?

I just updated the OP with everything extracted for everyone’s reading pleasure.

It shows how far we’ve come that I already want to feed all of this to chatgpt, and ask it to extract the juiciest bits.

@here, just to set the record straight, it was actually Microsoft (no surprise!) and not the FTC who screwed up royally. Whichever party representing Microsoft (internal or external) who was tasked with submitting the upload to the court in their case against the FTC is going to get dealt with seriously.

Every lawyers nightmare. I have been called out-of-step because I insist on reviewing all productions leaving the office, even if they contain thousands of documents. I have even been told by a federal judge that my methods are obosolete and rhat errors can be addressed with a claw back order. Well, claw back this Microsoft.

I have been that nightmare for the other lawyer, where among other claims I was alleging violation of state securities laws. His corporate client (through particularly obnoxious house lawyer) dumped thousands of documents on us just before a deposition, which we had a couple of days to review. Guess his dismay when one of the first docs I put in front of the corp VP was a memo, written two years earlier by the defending lawyer’s associate, warning the client that the course of action could violate state and federal securities laws… :smirk:

Judge can’t always unring the bell…
