Isn’t it based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 though? That runs quite hot (by no means an 810 disaster, but not fantastic).
It’s all in the proportions and the perspective. What is hot in a smartphone form factor will be cool as ice in a tablet form factor. It was ice cold compared to the Core M/Y series passive processors I had used. And battery life was considerably better on top of it.
